Tugure Distributes CSR Through Creating a Sensory Garden for Children with Disabilities

Tangerang – PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia (Tugure) is again channeling its social responsibility or corporate social responsibility (CSR) by supporting the creation of a sensory garden with the Sayap Ibu Foundation for children with disabilities.

President Director of Tugure Adi Pramana said that Tugure really supports the idea of creating a sensory garden because it is in line with Tugure's CSR program.

"Tugure has been working with the Sayap Ibu Foundation since 2017 and making this sensory garden is a very good idea, so we support it based on our CSR program," he said during the Ceremonial Planting of the First Sensory Garden Trees in South Tangerang, Monday.

According to him, the creation of this sensory garden can be an appropriate educational tool for children with disabilities to learn and provide a direct introduction to the natural environment.

"This sensory garden is very educational because it can introduce children with disabilities to things that are touching, smelling, hearing, and other sensory things to plants," he added.

The Sensory Garden itself is an initiative of the Sayap Ibu Foundation which is specially designed according to disability standards to accommodate the exploration of disabled children to feel their sensory through the process of planting trees.

Mr. Adi Pramana also expressed his hope that the sensory garden creation program could be realized soon. "Our hope is that this sensory garden can be realized quickly and can be used for foster children at the Sayap Ibu Foundation. Apart from that, it can also be a learning tool for other disabled children in the Greater Jakarta area and even throughout Indonesia," he concluded.

In addition, the creation of a sensory garden is part of Tugure's CSR program in 2022. Meanwhile, so far this year the realization of funds disbursed for the CSR program reached IDR 600 million.

In 2023, Tugure will remain focused on developing CSR programs in four aspects, namely Social, Religious, Environmental, Educational, and Women's Empowerment aspects.
