Tugure Commitment to Implement CSR Programs Through Urban Farming

Jakarta — PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia (Tugure) confirms its commitment to carry out social responsibility programs or corporate social responsibility (CSR) on an ongoing basis. One of them is using the Rooftop to grow grapes, as an effort to increase green open space which is a solution, reducing air pollution.

This is evidenced by the ceremonial implementation of the grape harvest which is a CSR Urban Farming program with the Tahfidz Exponesia Amanah Scholar House in the Rooftop area of PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia Friday (4/12).

Tugure President Director Adi Pramana said, The concept of urban farming (urban farming) is the right solution to be applied in the Capital City to increase green open space in the midst of limited land for farming.

He added, Urban farming can be a solution to reduce air pollution. Air pollution that can be reduced through urban farming will also improve the quality of life.

"We have a responsibility both to the environment and socially, we present a calm, comfortable atmosphere and we hope to reduce pollution," he said.

This grape planting is also a form of concern and real action that is carried out by Tugure to participate in saving the environment in order to realize ecosystem sustainability through corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Not only as an effort to reduce pollution, the grape harvest will then be sold and the overall proceeds from the sale will be given to the Tahfidz Exponesia Amanah Cendikia house.

"From a social perspective, we can also sell the grapes that we grow to several business partners, the proceeds of which will be distributed to the Tahfidz Exponesia Amanah Cendikia House."

In addition to harvesting grapes, Tugure also provided compensation in the form of cash at Tahfidz Exponesia Amanah Scholar's house. Currently, Tugure is realizing CSR by focusing on SGD's implementation including on Environmental Aspects, Education, Food Security, Health Aspects, and Socio-Religious Aspects. Later other programs will continue to be developed.
