Jakarta, [22/12/2025] — PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia (Tugure) received a visit from the Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf, to hold discussions on the handling and recovery of the impacts of catastrophic disasters that have occurred in Aceh. This visit was part of the Governor’s series of official engagements in Jakarta, following an earlier meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia to discuss post-disaster recovery efforts in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, Tugure directly conveyed its commitment to the Governor of Aceh to support the management of catastrophic disaster impacts through the acceleration of claim settlements, the strengthening of services to policyholders, and active coordination with insurance companies and other relevant stakeholders. This commitment is in line with the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) Circular Letter No. S-136/PD.1/2025 dated December 9, 2025, which calls on the insurance and reinsurance industry to respond swiftly to disasters, simplify claims processes, strengthen public communication, and maintain service continuity and industry stability in supporting the recovery of disaster-affected areas.
In addition to discussing the acceleration of claim settlements, the meeting also served as a forum to discuss the strategic role of reinsurance in supporting post-catastrophic disaster recovery, including the strengthening of risk protection schemes and reinsurance support for affected sectors, in order to enhance regional resilience in the future.
On the same occasion, Tugure also handed over humanitarian donations directly to the Governor of Aceh to be distributed to communities affected by the disaster. This assistance reflects the company’s concern and social responsibility toward the people of Aceh as they undergo the recovery process.
Tugure hopes that the support provided will help ease the burden on affected communities and accelerate recovery efforts, enabling social and economic activities in Aceh to return to normal as soon as possible.
