Jakarta - PT Tugu Reasuransi Indonesia (Tugure) has successfully maintained its IFS rating of A+(idn) with a Stable Outlook from the credit rating agency PT Fitch Ratings Indonesia (Fitch).
As quoted from Fitch's official website, the affirmation of this rating reflects Tugure's strong capitalization, moderate business profile, and well-managed underwriting performance.
"This rating also takes into account the conservative investment risk profile and good disaster risk management in the Indonesian market, which is currently facing several challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters," noted Fitch in an official statement received by ANTARA on January 28, 2021.
In issuing and monitoring its ratings, Fitch relies on factual information from the issuers and other reliable sources.
Tugure's President Director, Adi Pramana, stated that the company's focus is on prudent risk management.
The company employs accurate risk transfer methods to reduce disaster exposure and regularly monitors its risk accumulation. The company also actively collaborates with external brokers periodically to assess disaster exposures conservatively using various modeling tools," concluded Adi.
